Third Annual Gal’s Guide Anthology
2024 THEME IS NOURISH
Gal’s Guide seeks prose or poetry about nourishment. Does a certain food nourish you? What else is necessary for your growth? What helps sustain your health? What fosters a positive state of mind? What is a feeling or belief that you have cultivated that kept you going? Who or what is nourishing to you?
This is the third annual Gal’s Guide Anthology. Previous themes have been Women’s History and Journey.
Gal’s Guide Anthology: Nourish

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Stories/poems will be chosen by a jury containing board members of Gal’s Guide and an impartial judge from the literary world.
Stories/poems picked for the anthology will be ones that best fit the theme of “nourish,” follow the submission specs and are turned in on or before the deadline.
Writers may submit as many pieces as they like, however, a maximum of three (3) pieces per author will be chosen by the judges for publication in the 2024 anthology.
There is no submission fee.
RIGHTS:
Writers will grant rights to Gal’s Guide to the Galaxy from the time of acceptance to publication (approx. January 2024-March 2024). At the time of publication, all rights will revert back to the writer.
PRIZES:
The Gal’s Guide Anthology will be available in printed and digital formats. Authors picked for the anthology will receive one (1) physical copy of the book.
Three (3) winners will be chosen by the judges.
All published entries will also be eligible for a People’s Choice Award to be determined by online vote.
Submission Specs:
- Poetry or Prose (fiction or nonfiction) accepted
- Times New Roman font, 12 point
- No word limit
- Multiple entries per contributor permitted

Document #1 – Your story/poetry submission
- Include the title of the work
- Include the author of the work
- Times New Roman font, 12 point
- Save as a .word or .rtf file (please no pdf’s)
Document #2 – About you
- Your Name
- Your biography (2-3 sentences)
- Attach a photo of yourself
