Gal’s Guide Library is looking for seasonal “travel Agents” to represent our passport program.

Do you love our Passport Program? Want to help people get the most fun out of their Gal’s Guide Passport?
Apply to be one of our seasonal Travel Agents. We are looking for people who can be in-person on First Fridays and at special events. Our intention is to have various Travel Agents in 2024, each bringing with them a fresh take on our Special Passport Nights.

First Fridays = Special Passports Nights
The first Friday of every month our building, Noblesville Creates on 8th, hosts a wonderful party! From 6pm-9pm, there is a new art show, beer, wine, snacks, music, and about 200 people seeing what’s new and fun.
Gal’s Guide has this night as our Special Passport Night to showcase the new month we are “traveling.” These evenings include book displays, as well as, food and drinks from that region. For example for Australia Month we had samples of Vegimite sandwiches, for Africa Month we had small cups of Rooibos tea. Special Passport Nights also have free giveaways to passport holders and it is a great time to collect your stickers from the previous month’s adventures.
The chosen Travel Agent would
- Pick the food, drink, and free giveaways for the Special Passport night. Items would need to tie to the destination for that month. (Gal’s Guide would pay for the costs.)
- Prepare Special Passport Nights with decor, books from the Gal’s Guide lending collection, and a table set up that includes preparation of food or drink samples. There is access to power and a microwave, but no refrigerator, stove, or oven.
- Be on hand at the Special Passport nights greet guests and offer them food & drink samples. First Friday of each month from 6pm-9pm.
- Provide info about the Gal’s Guide Passport Program, what it looks like, what it does, and how they can engage with the program.
- Give out stickers to the passport holders. Each passport holder gets a stamp for attending the Special Passport Night, but they can also come to collect their stickers they have earned from the previous month.
- Keeping track of what stickers have been picked up and earned. They work with the Executive Director, Riwo, to double-check participation.
