Frigg Friday

Did you know that we call Thursday for Thor and Friday for Frigg? (More on Wikipedia)

Our newest audiobook goes to the 14th century Norway. Each Friday we’ll post a chapter of Kristin Lavransdatter written by Sigrid Undset. This Norwegian novelist was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1928. The book is part of a trilogy.

Read by Michelle Hammond.

Previous we covered Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for Franken’ Friday.

Hello! I loved listening to this book! I was born in Norway and this story was amazing.

I’m wondering if there is somewhere I can listen to The Wife and The Cross?

Just wanted to say that I LOVE this audio reading of Kristin Lavransdatter. I bought the whole book on Audible, but it’s not the same as this one.

Michelle Hammond did a wonderful job (whether words are mispronounced or not lol), and her voice draws me in. I love this story so much and associate it with Michelle’s voice, which I think is special.

I am planning to listen to it again! And am glad I found this page with the whole story instead of going on youtube.

P.s…. If you needed a sign to read the last two books… this is it!
