After wonderful success with our first anthology, we are ready to open submission for our next edition!
2023 THEME IS JOURNEY
Gal’s Guide seeks prose or poetry about a meaningful, empowering, spiritual, hilarious, or serendipitous journey.
Our favorite thing is to learn something new about the human experience. Tell us about a great inward or outward journey.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:
Submission will be chosen by a jury containing a board member of Gal’s Guide and an impartial judge from the literary world.
Stories picked for the anthology will be ones that best fit the theme of journey and follow the submission specs.
There is no submission fee.
RIGHTS:
Writers will grant rights to Gal’s Guide to the Galaxy from the time of acceptance to publication (approx. January 2023-March 2023). At the time of publication, all rights will revert back to the writer.
PRIZES:
The Gal’s Guide Anthology will be available in printed and digital formats. Authors picked for the anthology will receive one (1) physical copy of the book.
Three (3) winners will be chosen by the judges.
All published entries will also be up for People’s Choice to be determined by online vote 1 month after release.
Submission Specs:
- Poetry or Prose (fiction or nonfiction) accepted
- Times New Roman font, 12 point
- No word limit
- Multiple entries per contributor permitted
How to send in your submission
Prepare a document as a .word file or .rtf file. You will email this document as well as a photo of yourself to anthology@galsguide.org. The deadline for submissions is 12/31/22.
In the document include
- Title of the work
- Your biography (2-3 sentences)
- Your email address
- Social media links
- Attach a photo of yourself
