Welcome, fellow book lovers!
Around here, we believe a TBR (To Be Read) pile isn’t a problem—it’s a lifestyle. Gal’s Guide librarians, volunteers, and readers are forever chasing down hidden gems, spotlighting women’s voices, and curating lists that will inspire, challenge, and delight.
This page is where we gather our favorite recommendations and themed catalogs in one place. Think of it as a treasure chest for your next great read (and yes, we’re happily guilty of adding more to your stack than you can possibly get through).
So, go ahead—browse, click, and discover. May your library bag always be full and your TBR forever growing.

Women’s History Month
Since 2016 Gal’s Guide has been sharing women’s history books here are some of the lists we’ve published on galguide.org
Library Collection Themes
Each month Gal’s Guide has a theme or learning topic. The library strives to purchase and collect books to showcase a wide breadth of women not limited to location, time period, fame, religion, politics and sexual orientation or gender expression.
These lists do not contain all the books that Gal’s Guide has on the subject. These tags are not autogenerated and instead selected by Gal’s Guide and may not be up to date…but they are a starting point.
*Note these links go to Gal’s Guide library catalog. The library is moving from Indiana to Moorhead, Minnesota. Books are currently in storage awaiting to reopen. Until we reopen, check to see if these books are available at your local library.
