Role of a Gal Pal
What’s a Gal Pal: Each person on a podcast episode is either a Gal Pal or a Pal of Gals.
Regular Gal Pal: Committed to the full season of the Gals Guide Podcast.
Guest Gal Pal: Applied to be on one or more episodes.
Responsibilities: Each Gals Pal picks a woman of history that relates to our topic of the month. This is the homework: Research and write a 10-20 minute piece about your woman of history to share with the other Gal Pals. It doesn’t have to be a research paper, make it fun! Think Drunk History! Our listeners want to know an overview of the gal, and how she ties into our learning theme, and what we can learn from her. Gal Pals also need to listen, support, and share the show.
Compensation: unpaid (unless we get a grant 🤞)
Location: Remote recording. Must have access to a quiet space, with a door, and little interruption.
Equipment needed: Quality microphone, preferably a Cardioid and or Dynamic. Reliable internet.
Recording schedule: Twice a month from January – October. Each session is 1-2 hours. Recording schedule is based on Central Standard Time (USA – Chicago).
Estimated Number of Episodes a season/year: 35-40
