About M.A’s Books

Limestone Versified

From Northern Indiana’s sandy dunes and beaches to Southern Indiana’s limestone valleys and waterfalls, Limestone Versified explores the parks and natural wonders of Indiana. This collection of haiku and poetry document the travels and exploration of Hoosier poet M. A. Dubbs, creating a love letter of verse for the diverse flora and fauna throughout the state and Midwest. Accompanied with each poem is a geographic location so that readers can create their own road trip and adventure to the beaches, caves, forests, and prairies that define the Crossroads of America. Includes award-winning poem “A Forager’s Haiku in Seasons” and poetry previously published in Plants and Poetry, Indiana University Press, Coin-Operated Press, and Periphery Magazine, among others. Notable Locations: Indiana Dunes National Park, Clifty Falls State Park, McCormick’s Creek State Park, Knobstone Trail, and Turkey Run State Park, among others.
