About the Book

He’s a notorious flirt, so she lays down a challenge she’s sure she’ll win.

When playboy police lieutenant Ryker Lange stops Kitt Boynton for driving on the wrong side of the road, his attraction to the feisty Irish lass is immediate. Yet, despite the sizzling chemistry between them, Kitt quickly turns him down.

Kitt has moved to River’s Edge for a fresh start and is ready to focus on her new marketing job at her cousins’ winery. She’s done with players, and vows she won’t let the local sexy cop distract her, but Kitt, a flirt herself, is definitely tempted. To keep her sanity as she prepares for several Valentine-themed winery events, she and Ryker make a bet: for the next three weeks, neither of them can flirt with the other.

The game starts out lighthearted, but when the town takes sides, Ryker and Kitt must choose between winning a wager or finding lasting love.

About the Author

Hi, I’m Nan and I’m a USA Today bestselling author of sweet and sexy romance novels featuring women in their prime. I’m also a wife, a mom, a mother-in-law, and grandmother to an active little boy and two sweet dogs. I’ve been an antiques dealer, a bank teller, a stay-at-home mom, a secretary, and for the last 25 years, I’ve earned my living as a freelance copy editor and proofreader.

But writing is my first and most enduring passion. I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t writing—I wrote my first romance novel at the age of ten. It involved a love story between the most sophisticated person I knew at the time, my older sister (who was in high school!), and a member of Herman’s Hermits. If you know who they are, you’re my audience! I’m still writing romance, but this time from the viewpoint of a wiser, slightly rumpled, menopausal woman instead of a starry-eyed preteen.

I’ve completed nine novels; Rule Number One is published and available at and Barnes& The other four, which are part of the Women of Willow Bay series, Once More From the TopSex and the Widow MilesThe Summer of Second Chances, and Saving Sarah  are also available in e-book and print at all book retailers. My newest series, Four Irish Brothers Winery, from Tule Publishing includes A Small Town ChristmasMeant to Be,  Christmas with You, and The Baby Contract, which are all currently available now  in e-book and print from all book retailers. I am currently hard at work on The Langes of River’s Edge, a new series for Tule Publishing, with the first book due out February 2022.
