GALS GUIDE WRITING WORKSHOP RETURNS WITH NEW SOURCES OF INSPIRATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO WRITE AND SHARE YOUR WORK!

The 2023 workshop will dive deeper into the Born of Many Mothers (BOMM) Method developed by Dr. Leah Leach. This is a compassion “recipe” that uses the ingredients of women’s history, mythology, mother stories, and compassion. This tool allows people to nourish their creativity and connect more genuinely with our shared humanity. BOMM can be used as a writing inspiration, a creativity unlocker, and a vehicle for healing.

The recipe contains, a meditation on a castle with infinite rooms. Each room shows various aspects of human strengths and weaknesses. Rooms include problem-solving, using empathy as a tool for learning, being vulnerable, and understanding complex creatures.

This fall, Gal’s Guide is offering a 12-week workshop. Students will also learn writing critique tools, receive feedback from their fellow writers, and have an opportunity for publication in the Gal’s Guide Anthology.

This workshop is made possible because of a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission
