People Are Scary – Learn How to Digest Complex Female Creatures of History

Registration is open!

You thought Halloween was scary?!

What about Coco Chanel? JK Rowling? Phyllis Schlafly? Axis Sally? Let’s learn what NOT to do because of complex creatures of history.

Join live on October 30 for ghoulish tales, problematic choices, and lessons not yet learned. There is wisdom in the wickedry (for us, not them). Those registered will also receive the video recording on or before Monday, Nov 2. Students will have access to the recorded classes and class materials for 1 year.

Gals Guide teaches in an ancient method sometimes called “The Three Levels of a House of a Happy Person.” Students will have a listening portion, a contemplation portion, and a meditation. This structure is to allow the student time to find the personal wisdom in the class.

Part of our Mother Castle class series.

Part of the Mother Castle

The Mother Castle is the book that Leah has been working on for years. (Yes, we wish she’d publish it too!!!)

Mother Castle method is a tool developed by Dr. Leah “Riwo” Leach that utilizes women’s history, mythology, Buddhist meditation, and compassion. It is a writing and meditation method to heal emotional wounds so that creativity can flourish.

“It’s a way to bring all the wise women into the room to learn from them, so you get to work healing yourself and then healing others with your creativity,” says Leah. “Each time you enter the Mother Castle is a different experience. It’s a method you can return to again and again. It’s a different experience because you are always learning and processing; in short, you are a wiser person each time you return to the castle.”

The Mother Castle is the foundation of the 12-week class that Gals Guide offers every year called Feminine Healing and Creativity Writing Workshop.

The last time Leah taught the “Complex Creatures Room” of the Mother Castle was December 2023.

Scholarships

In previous years, Gals Guide was awarded grants that made economic space to offer financial resources to students. Due to federal funding limitations, many grants are on pause. Gals Guide is currently applying to grants that are a right fit in hopes to offer accessible classes, free classes, and more scholarship opportunities.

Gals Guide intention is to provide meaningful services as well as keep Gals Guide financially a float. We want to be accessible but we also want to keep our doors open – it’s a rough balance.
