It’s movie month at Gal’s Guide and we’re super excited to have as our special speaker for our September Meeting, award-winning filmmaker, Mallory Gieringer. Mallory is going to show us how film fans and filmmakers can apply creative solutions to showcase the importance of female perspective in film.

About Mallory:
Mallory Gieringer is a filmmaker and detail oriented creator with a passion for storytelling. She has directed, filmed and edited several short films, and various video productions. Her projects have included several videos for Purdue University’s Cheerleading team and the video, “Guide to being a Boilermaker” which was highlighted in an interview with The Tab Purdue magazine. She was assistant director on the short film, ‘Continuance’ which was a semifinalist in the 2015 Student Academy Awards and was a second place winner at the Raw Science Film festival in L.A. In January of this year her short film, ‘Esoteric’ won best experimental short at the Hollywood Short film festival in Santa Monica California. Mallory holds a B.A in Film & Video Studies from Purdue University.
