Wonder Woman Academy Online Camp

When Wonder Woman 1984 was postponed, Gal’s Guide gave you the opportunity to strengthen your inner Wonder Woman and learn the life skills from this mythic-warrior Goddess.

Learn about the inspiration and creation of Wonder Woman by Dr. William Moulton Marston, Elizabeth Marston, and Olive Byrne. Discover the evolution of the character through comics, TV shows, pop culture and eventually her own movie.

Learn about the weird Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Greece. Bonnie Fillenwarth is your hilarious guide on this journey into the weird and magical world of Greek mythology.

Dr. Leah Leach will break down the lessons you can take from the Gal Gadot film and incorporate them into your life.

Dr. Leah Leach takes the motif of No Man’s Land and creates an entire class on how powerful that metaphor can be in different aspects of your life.

Breaking the Chains

Dr Leah Leach talks about the symbolic imagery of breaking the chains as a metaphor for rebirth, a symbol of freedom, and breaking a cycle of abuse. Margaret Sanger – Wonder Woman Inspiration and History

Dr Leah Leach talks about one of the inspirations of Wonder Woman, Margaret Sanger. She talks about her fight for birth control, founding Planned Parenthood, and the fight for female reproductive rights. She also talks about her controversies and her ties to eugenics.

Lasso of Truth – The Invention of the Lie Detector Test

Dr Leah Leach talks about William Marston and his invention of the lie detector and the later evolution of the test.

Art Project – Wonder Woman Cross Stitch Tutorial

Wonder Woman Body Language

Angie Klink will talk about Wonder Woman’s power pose, her body language, and how we can empower ourselves into the superhero we are meant to be. Angie Klink is the author of The Deans’ Bible: Five Purdue Women and Their Quest for Equality, Kirby’s Way, and Divided Paths, Common Ground. Be More Wonder Woman

Author of Be More Wonder Woman, Cheryl Rickman, will talk about positive psychology in relation to Wonder Woman’s wisdom, from the need for compassion and mutually supportive relationships to finding purpose and having self-belief in order to achieve goals. Cheryl will also talk about the process she went through in writing the book and choosing which Wonder Woman quotes to use. Cheryl is also the author of The Happiness BibleThe Little Book of ResilienceThe Flourish Handbook , and The Flourish Colouring Book, among other books to help people fret less and flourish more. Practical Protesting and Other Ways to Change the World

Beth Ann Broadhurst will share basic dos and don’ts for standing up for your rights at a protest, as well as other ways to have your voice heard and enact change. Ways to stay safe during a protest as a woman. Who to contact and how to propose a law change. Why do we have to stand up? Picking and choosing your battles.

Meet Your Instructor

Dr. Leah Leach is the Head Mistress of the Wonder Woman Academy. She is the Executive Director of Gal’s Guide to the Galaxy, the first lending library dedicated to women’s history in the United States.  Nuvo named her a “Herstory Detective” for her award-winning podcast work on Your Gal Friday. Leah is a fun, engaging public speaker who tours schools and organizations sharing the wisdom of female role models throughout history in hopes of inspiring new role models. She also has a Wonder Woman tattoo.
