Netflix Places Statues of ‘Overlooked Sisters’ Next to their Brother

To promote the release of Enola Homes, a film about Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister, Netflix has placed several golden statues of real-life sisters next to sculptures of their famous brothers.

In an attempt (to promote a movie) and to shine a spotlight on these lesser-known women of history, the project “Overlooked Sisters” was created Sketch Events and McPartland Studio.

These gold statues with custom detailing on their skirts feature Enola Holmes (sister of Sherlock Holmes’), Mary Hardy (sister of Thomas Hardy), Frances Dickens (sister of Charles Dickens), Helena Victoria (sister of King Edward VII), and Maria Anna Mozart (sister of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart).

The sculptures are on display in the UK.

Enola Holmes is now on Netflix.
