Believe it or not, this is only Gal’s Guide 2nd in-person first Friday. To celebrate we’re going to have an unveiling of Leah Leach’s massive artwork “Mother Tree – Firsts.” The mixed media artwork showcases 34 women who were the first to accomplish a historic milestone.
Leah will be on hand to talk about the process of assembling thousands of torn papers to make a mosaic as well to talk about the intended symbolism in the piece.
The piece will be on display in Gal’s Guide Library for a limited time so come see in-person while you can.
Also during first Friday can browse the over 2,000 women’s history books that available for checkout. Library cards are free and come with a bookmark and sticker!
Gal’s Guide Library is located on the Nickel Plate Arts Campus at 107 S. 8th Street, Noblesville. We are in the Stephenson building (green one) on the second floor.
